Happy Valentine’s Day!

I wish everyone is having a love filled day! I got hugs & kisses from my kiddos this morning and it made my day!  I am also sharing a Valentine’s day card I made for my hubby which is inspired by  3 things :

The  Wedding Style Trend: Ombre Detailing , a card made by Jen Sannes and my hubby who is the only man I know who feels comfortable wearing pink dress shirts.

I also made some cute goodies for my son’s class.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Or as I like to say Happy Turkey Day :) .  This year I am making the thanksgiving dinner and actually began prepping the turkey on Tuesday night. I got this wonderful brine recipe from my sister-in-law and the turkey always comes out moist and yummy. I also love baking during the holidays and  I wanted to add a little something extra to the pumpkin pies I made.  I saw this idea from one of my favorite party blogs http://www.karaspartyideas.com/2011/11/free-mini-cake-pennant-bunting-for.html and I just had to do try it.

I hope you have a special day planned to share time and yummy food with loving friends and family.

Feeling inspired!

Last week I went to the mall to walk with Olivia and found myself in amazement that you can find inspiration in the smallest things.  I saw a window display at the Gap with non traditional Holiday colors and this is what I came up with. Aren’t they cute?

Road Trip

This Labor day weekend we took a road trip to Loyalton to visit Emmy. She is a Lieutenant in the Navy and will be stationed in Japan for 2 years.  Where is Loyalton?  45 minutes from Reno, NV.  This is small town USA in California.  I really enjoyed the beautiful sunset and time with friends and family.  The drive was long but worth it to see another part of California that we had never visited before.

Ramsey had lots of  fun walking up and down the old rail road tracks just like “Thomas”.
